Wrightsville Beach Parking
The whole island has 659 public spaces across 11 town lots — and on a July Saturday
they are gone by mid-morning. Here is every one of them, what it costs, and the rules that catch people out.

Season runs 1 March – 31 October, seven days a week, from 9:00am.
November to February enforcement is off entirely and every lot is free.
The Board of Aldermen cut daily rates by $5 for 2026 — anything quoting $30/$35 is out of date.
Six rules that catch people out
1. It is pay-by-plate, and the plate is what gets read.
You key in a plate, not a windscreen ticket, and enforcement is a camera vehicle driving the lots.
The session follows the plate — so moving to a different space, or a different lot,
changes nothing. There is no chalk to escape.
2. There is no in-and-out. Leave the lot and come back and you start a
new paid session at full price. The daily cap is per lot session, not per vehicle per day —
two visits to two lots is two $25 days.
3. Free before 9am and after 7pm — in standard lots.
Premium lots enforce an hour later, to 8pm. The sign on the lot you are actually standing in
beats any rule you read here.
4. First two hours free at the Municipal Complex — but only if you register.
Town Hall, the Rec Centre, the Museum and Visitor Centre lots give two free hours. Free is applied
to a registered session; an unregistered plate is simply an unpaid one. Register at the kiosk,
or text the location code posted on the sign to 25023.
5. Overnight is fine. Two nights is not. Enforcement stops at 7pm and does not
start again until 9am, so a cart standing overnight in a standard lot costs nothing. But any vehicle
left on town property for 24 hours or more may be treated as abandoned and towed at the owner's
expense — paid session or not. It has to move each day.
6. The rates move. A year-round Parking Committee recommends rates to the
Board annually. Confirm before you rely on a number, including the ones above.

Added at booking — not at pickup
$20 / day
The town charges $25 standard and $30 premium for the same
thing. We sell it under cost because nobody else on this beach handles the pass at all.
Decided when you book, because your plate goes onto the pass
before the cart leaves. Offered 1 March – 31 October only — outside the season parking is free
and the pass would buy you nothing. Available on Early Bird, Half Day and Full Day; not on the Night Owl,
which starts at 8:00pm after enforcement has ended.
Pickup and return sit inside the free hours. Collect and return between
5:00–11:00am or
7:00–10:00pm and there is nothing to pay for parking at either end.
At any other hour we deliver or collect for a flat
$25.
We tell you which lot when you book — you do not have to work it out
from this map. The map is for the rest of your day.
Bring the cart back between 11am and 7pm and it is sitting in a paid lot:
$5/hour up to the $25 cap. That is the town's charge, not ours, and returning inside a window avoids it.
